CellLabs Seal Oil Omega-3 with DPA

CellLabs Seal Oil
Complete Mammalian Omega-3
The Seal Oil Industry
Harp Seals are not endangered in anyway. The harvesting of Seal Oil is regulated by The Canadian Department of Fisheries & Oceans. They determine every year how many Harp Seals can be harvested and the purpose of this is to ensure the Canadian Harp Seal harvest remains economically viable and environmentally sustainable.

The Harp Seal is a full use animal which simply means that Harp Seals are not harvested for just Seal Oil, but also for pelts and its meat. The Canadian Department of Fisheries & Oceans outlaws the harvesting of baby Harp Seals to effectively ensure species continuity. At the same time to control the over-production of Harp Seals. This ensures long-term stability of Canada's Harp Seal population and also protect other marine resources like fish.

The quota allowed to harvest Harp Seals are set a 330,000 as the population of seals have tripled to 7 million since the early 1970s' This is to control and maintain the seals population at the same time maintaining the seals growth.

How we found out that seal oil is better in Omega-3?
In the early 1990's, it was reported that Greenland Eskimos exhibited low incidences of heart disease and cancer in comparison to populations of western world.

These findings were somewhat surprising as the high-fat Eskimo diet consist mostly of fats from marine mammalian origin such as seals and deep ocean fishes which is rich in Omega-3.

Early studies have shown the importance of dietary intake of Omega-3-PUFA's (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid) beneficial effects in relation to coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis, arthritis, hypertension and thrombosis.

What is DPA, EPA, DHA?
DPA (Docosapentaenoic Acid)
Equally as important as EPA and DHA. One third of the long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids circulating in human blood are attributed to DPA. DPA is significantly found in breast milk and seal oil and works as an effective agent in soothing blood vessel walls.

EPA (Eicosapetaenoic Acid)
Reduces inflammation and blood clots within the cardiovascular system. Test shown, people with diets rich in EPA are less prone to rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, lupus, asthma, multi sclerosis and skin disease.

DHA (Docosahezaenoic Acid)
An essential building block of the brain, nerve and eye tissue. Important to develop an infant's visual acuity and motor skills. DHA is supplied naturally through a mother's breast milk, and more recently, through DHA supplement. Seal Oil has an excellent source of DHA.

FAQs
Where do Omega-3 & Omega-6 come from?
Omega-6: Primarily from plant, seed, fruit and certain animal fat.

Omega-3: Primarily from fish and marine mammal oils. It can also be obtained from plants like flaxseed, pumpkin and walnuts. The about mentioned plant oils are not long-chain Omega-3 in order for absorption to take place, however if a body is in an unhealthy condition the ability to convert will not occur.

Why is there an imbalance of Omega-3 and Omega-6?
Modern diet delivers too much Omega-6 which is mainly found in the things we commonly used, for example cooking oil and various different oils consumed in our daily life's. This can result in an acute imbalance of somewhere between 1 Omega-3 to 20 Omega-6 (1:20). In some cases people have an imbalance as high as (1:60).

Does the imbalance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 affects our lives?
Yes, it does. As long as the Omega-3 and Omega-6 remains out of balance it leads to a marked increase in such dietary disease such as cancer, heart, stroke, diabetes, arthritis and skin disorders.

How much Omega-3 and Omega-6 is sufficient?
The ratio of "good fats" in our balanced diets recommended by major health organisations are (Omega-3: Omega-6) 1:2 or 1:6 depending on age and sex.

But why is Seal Oil better compared to Fish or Flaxseed Oils?
This is mainly because Seal Oil is made up of 25% of Omega-3 fatty acids, which is higher than other sources of oil. Moreover seals are warm blooded mammals which has the similar digestive and metabolic systems as humans, there fore the need of conversion to long-chain Omega-3 is lesser and absorption of oil molecules are faster and more efficient as the system does not need to work as hard compared to other sources of Omega-3.

Seal Oil also contains approximately 3% Squalene, which is a natural anti-oxidant agent and is known to have cancer preventive properties. It also helps to re-energize skin and enhances the oxygen flow in blood vessels.

Seals live in the Artic circle it is a land of virtually almost zero pollution, as for other sources of oil we are unable to determine its origin resulting in a possible risk that the sources could originate from contaminated or polluted environment.

Will you gain weight from Seal Oil?
Each capsule with 500mg Seal Oil contains 5 Kcal. It is merely 0.5% of a typical person's 1200 Kcal daily calorie needs. In fact you might LOSE WEIGHT when taking Seal Oil supplements. When Omega-3 is converted into PGE3 after consumption, it works as an agent to help reduce water retention of the body. Secondly it improves metabolism, making it more efficient to burn fats resulting in WEIGHT LOSS.

Vegan Diet? Is it good for health? How true is it?
Consuming Vegan means that you are obtaining Omega-3 in the form of flaxseed oil, pumpkin seeds or walnuts. However this source are in the form of AA (Alpha-Lenolenic Acid) Short chain Omega-3 fatty acids in which is needed to convert into long-chain molecules to be absorbed. Studies has proven that our bodies are not very efficient in such conversions. These conversions take place only when your body is in a healthy good condition.

Studies have proven that by maintaining a vegan diet will decrease one's cholesterol count but Seal Oil's Omega-3 would not affect one's cholesterol count.
